Some songs for the weekend and philosophical quotes from Seneca

A song which Laura posted on 17 August 2013…

Two songs which I like. I think that Laura would have liked them too.

Some quotes from Seneca:

‘Life, if well lived, is long enough’.

‘As long as you live, keep learning to live’.

‘While we are postponing, life speeds by’.

‘True happiness is…to enjoy the present without anxious dependence on the future’.

Years ago I attended a real estate workshop and the guest speaker asked, “What is the most valuable piece of real estate?” The answer was surprising, but logical. “A cemetery.”

All the dreams, inventions, ideas, never fulfilled. Don’t let this be you.

Laura was a talented artist but she didn’t believe in herself. One of the few paintings left behind…

She threw it away. It was not good enough. Fortunately it was retrieved from the waste bin. Never stop believing in yourself even if no one else does. You are good enough.

‘The whole future lies in uncertainty: live immediately’.

‘Begin at once to live, and count each day as a separate life’.

‘Luck is what happen when preparation meets opportunity’.

Welcome each day with fresh eyes. Look at life through the eyes of a child, unjaundiced from bad experiences embedded in the past.
